Support Assistant for Short-Term Home for Children and Youth (LSS)

Your Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you will work closely with children and youth with varying needs for support in their daily lives. The work is based on the child's individual needs, implementation plan, and daily condition. You will be involved in planning, executing, and following up on the interventions. Your tasks include:

• carrying out activities such as social activities, creative projects, movement, and outdoor excursions
• creating a safe environment through relationships, structure, and clear pedagogical methods
• using AAC, low-arousal approaches, and autonomy-supportive methods
• being responsible for documentation, risk assessments, and follow-ups according to current routines
• collaborating with guardians, schools, habilitation, and other stakeholders

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma from the health and care program, the child and leisure program with a social focus, or another relevant education that the employer deems equivalent, such as behavioral science or treatment pedagogy.

Experience working within LSS and with children and youth with autism and intellectual disabilities is a requirement. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches, pedagogical methods, and a B driver's license is advantageous.

You are reliable and responsible with a good ability to build relationships. You are flexible, resilient, and attentive, and enjoy working both in teams and independently.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Personal qualities such as creativity and a good sense of humor are highly valued by us.
